SPECTRACOOL textile facade fabric with passive radiation cooling
Visually, the Spectracool fabric hardly differs from the conventional rohotex fabric.
But in the infrared image, the difference becomes clear. The fabric is significantly colder, even colder than the ambient temperature. The reason for this is physics. When an object gives off more energy than it receives, it cools. Spectracool reflects a broad spectrum of sunlight from infrared through the visible range to ultraviolet. The rays are sent to the atmosphere in the form of mid-wave infrared range. We developed this technology to optimize the cooling effect of the textile facade in hot regions.
